The directions above are correct. Typically a taxi will not know it by name. The taxi will know Bar Idem, directly across the street. Write bar idem down and show it to the driver. Our pronunciation of Idem is difficult for them. One of my recent customers ended up at Motel Eden on the other side of town and had no idea where he was.
The taxis also know Tin Jo restaurant which is one block north of Idem/Relax.
If you are walking, go out the front door of Del Ray (facing Monkey Bar)
make a left, walk past the Colonial Casino and make the first right. Walk about five blocks and you are there. You will pass La Esquina de Buenos Aries and Tin Jo befoe you get there. There is no sign, only a glass door with some neon. Ring the buzzer. If you walk past Eros and Idem you have gone too far.
Walking in daytime is fine, I would not walk there at night.

If taking a taxi, easiest thing is to ask the taxi driver, "Do you know where Pucho's (*) is"?
For some reason (sure
) they ALL know Pucho's, yet many have no clue where Bar Idem, Eros or Manos Traviesas (what the ticos call Relax) is.
Relax is on the same block as Pucho's, almost next door in fact.
